Joy Harter Robinson, 91, of Luther Crest Retirement Community, So. Whitehall Twp., died on May 10, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. She was the beloved wife of Homer Robinson, D.D.S. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ardath (Lessig) Harter. She was a graduate of Allentown High School and Ursinus College. Joy worked as a chemist for DuPont and later as a research librarian for Rodale Press. She was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.. She was also a member of Lehigh Country Club and The Embroiderers Guild of the L.V. Joy volunteered at the 1803 House, L.V Food Bank, and the Luther Crest library and gift shop. Joy was a fun-loving, creative, caring person who loved her family and was loved by them. "Honey Chip", as she was called by her grandchilden, will be forever missed.

Survivors: Daughters, Wendy wife of Edward Heil and Dana wife of James Grim. Son: Jay Robinson and his wife Terry, all of Allentown. Brother: James Harter of Palm Coast. Fla., 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by Son: Homer "Robbie" Robinson, Daughter: Lynn Geise, Brother: David Harter, Sister: Ardath Rodale and Companion: Robert Klein.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday May 20, 2016 at 3:00pm in Crest Hall at Luther Crest 800 Hausman Rd. Allentown.
