Albert John Heidenwolf

Albert John Heidenwolf, 84, of Allentown, PA, passed away at home on Saturday June 11, 2016. He was born in Northampton, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Stella (Seier) Heidenwolf. For 60 years, Albert was the devoted husband of Martha. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and served for four years in the United States Air Force. Al attended St. Joseph’s College, where he played basketball, and he also attended Muhlenberg College. He was employed by Bell Telephone Company for 37 years and was proud to have never missed a day of work. After retiring from Bell Telephone he worked for five years as a consultant for various telecommunication companies in London, Budapest, Amsterdam and Germany. Upon returning from Europe, Al worked for FEMA, FaciliCom International, and Macy’s Department Store. For many years, Al was an active volunteer and Eucharistic Minister at Good Shepherd Church in Camp Hill. Since returning to Allentown, he has been a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church of Allentown. Al was a great athlete and loved sports especially golf, tennis, basketball, baseball and Notre Dame football.

Al will be greatly missed by his wife, Martha and daughters, Susan Weaver and her husband David of Sparta, NJ, Diane Beauchner and her husband Frank of Wescosville, and Terese Heidenwolf of Bethlehem; brother, Joseph Heidenwolf of Whitehall; as well as his grandchildren, Stephen, Elizabeth and Edward Weaver and Lauren, Megan and Adam Beauchner.

Funeral Mass 10:00AM Wednesday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Call 9 to 10:00AM Wednesday in the church. Arrangements by J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
