Margaret Ann “Peggy” (Gera) Frensky, 86, of Allentown died peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Carl S. Frensky for 62 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Margaret F. (Dugan) Gera. A 1947 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Peggy received a B.S. Degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 1952 and subsequently served as a Nursing Instructor. She was a School Nurse in the East Penn School District for 20 years before retiring. Peggy was a founding member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church where she served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, member of the Parish Council as representative for the Liturgy Committee, and Secretary of the Prime Time Club. She also visited the sick and shut-ins. Peggy was a former President of the Serra Club of Allentown and a volunteer CPR Instructor for the Red Cross for 15 years. She enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, swimming, reading and playing bridge. Peggy was a devout Catholic and her primary interest was always her family.

Survivors: Husband; daughters, Patricia F. wife of Michael Orfini of Vienna, VA, Mary Susan wife of Gregory Hanks of Hummelstown, Kathleen F. wife of Steven Tranelli of Rochester, NY, Jeanne M. Frensky of Atlanta, GA; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 28, 2017 in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, PA 18103. The family will be receiving friends between 10:00AM and 11:45AM Saturday in the church.
