Rudolph “Rudy” Wirth, Jr. 82, of Whitehall, formerly of Allentown, died January 28, 2017 in Whitehall Manor. Rudy was a construction inspector for the City of Allentown, retiring in 1996. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Plant Director at Moravian College, Bethlehem for 20 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Rudolph Wirth, Sr. and the late Emma (Schrampf) Wirth. He was a 1953 graduate of Allentown High School. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on Hanover Ave in Allentown. He was a past member, past president and treasurer of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church formerly located on Ridge Ave. Allentown. Rudy was fond of reading and listening to German Polka Music.

Survivors: Son: Michael and his wife Kelly of Hellertown, Brother: Robert Wirth and his wife June of Allentown, Grandchildren: Aiden, Mikayla and Jackie and Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by Brothers: Edward Wirth and Alfred Wirth and a Sister: Margaret Smith

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 10 A.M. in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church 1933 Hanover Ave. Allentown. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. in the Church.
