Barbara F. Oursler, 70, of Allentown died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. She was the beloved wife of E. Craig Oursler. They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on August 21, 2016. Born in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Margaret M. (Kelley) Fletcher of La Grange, IL and the late James E. Fletcher. A 1964 graduate of Lyons Township High School, La Grange; Barbara received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Kansas in 1968. After graduation, she taught elementary education in Lawrence, KS and St. Louis, MO. At the age of 36, Barbara went back to school and received her Accounting Degree and became a Certified Public Accountant. For over 15 years, she was employed at the former Keystone Savings Bank, Allentown having attained the position of Assistant Vice President and Treasurer before retiring. She was a long standing member and former President of the Allentown branch of the AAUW.

Survivors: Husband; mother; daughter, Laura J. Oursler of Allentown and her partner Mark A. Steinke of Macungie; son, James H. Oursler and his wife Alyson of Branchburg, NJ; brothers, James A. Fletcher and his wife Meg of Hinsdale, IL, Michael W. Fletcher and his wife Stephanie of Brookfield, WI, Mark A. Fletcher and his wife Dalaine of Lake Whitney, TX; sister, Patricia wife of Wes Berkovsky of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Justin and Abby; nephews; nieces; great nephews; great nieces.

Funeral Service 1:00PM Sunday in the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th & Hamilton Sts., Allentown. Call Noon to 1:00PM Sunday in the funeral home. Interment is Private.
