Michael Giovanni, 91, of Allentown passed away peacefully on Friday, July 21, 2017. He was the husband of Lorraine (Laub) Giovanni. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on September 13, 2016. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Antonio and Sarah (John) Giovanni. A Navy Veteran of World War II, he served in the South Pacific. He was a general foreman at PB&E Railroad, Bethlehem Steel before retiring in 1983. Mike was an avid golfer. He played many local and east coast courses. He participated in the senior golf league at Willow Brook Golf Course, Catasauqua and was a former member of Silver Creek Country Club, Hellertown. He also enjoyed watching horse track racing at OTB. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who treasured time spent with his family.

Survivors: Wife; sons, Michael A. Giovanni and his wife Nancy of Omaha, NE and Dino Giovanni of Allentown; daughter, Renee Giovanni of Allentown; sister, Lucy Mellinger of Whitehall; grandchildren, Angela wife of Ryan Ross, Michael R. Giovanni and his wife Sarah; great grandchildren, Jake, Derrick and Michael L. all of Omaha, NE. He was predeceased by brothers; Sal, Mario and Nunzio and sisters; Angelina, Josephine Ehly and Nina Todaro.

Memorial Service: 11:00AM Wednesday in the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th & Hamilton Sts., Allentown. Call 10 to 11:00AM Wednesday in the funeral home.
