Jack P. Kent, 77, of Allentown, passed away September 27, 2017 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Erlinda (Escueta) Kent. They were married for 54 years last December. Jack worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for many years until retiring. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Andrew and Betty (Long) Kent. Jack served the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers and was a sports coordinator/coach at Mountainville Memorial. He enjoyed coaching girls softball.

Survivors: Wife, Son: Andrew A. Kent of Allentown, Daughter: Felisa E. Kent of Allentown, Brothers: Carl Kent of Allentown and Glenn Kent of Barto, Grandchildren: Anthony, Alex, Talon, Skye, Andrew and Zachary and a Great-Granddaughter: Adrielle.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, at 2 P.M. in the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Sts. Allentown. A Calling hour will be held on Tuesday, from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
