Attorney Edward J. Zamborsky died peacefully at home on October 16, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Marykay (Barnes) Zamborsky with whom he shared over 51 years. He was born in Allentown on June 21, 1941 to the late Dr. Edward and Helen (Gresko) Zamborsky. He attended Allentown High School, graduated from Moravian Academy (1959), Lehigh University (1963, Sigma Chi) with a B.A. in Political Science, and Villanova Law School (1966) with his J.D. During the Vietnam War, Ed served as a Military Police officer and CID investigator at Fort Eustis, VA. He received noteworthy commendations for his work from the Office of the Provost Marshal and the FBI. Soon after his honorable discharge, Ed returned to Allentown and opened his own law practice. The complexion of his practice evolved from a general practice to one primarily focused on all aspects of matrimonial law. He was admitted to the United States Supreme Court; United States District Court, Eastern District of Pa; Pennsylvania Supreme Court; Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court; and Superior Court of Pennsylvania. During his career, Ed was an Assistant District Attorney, Assistant Solicitor for Lehigh County, Solicitor for the FOP, Solicitor for the Lehigh County Medical Society, Former President of the Family Law Section and Board Director of the Lehigh County Bar Association, former Council member of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar, and a greatly admired Adjunct Professor in Real Estate and Family Law for the paralegal programs at Penn State (Allentown campus) and Lehigh Carbon Community College. While practicing law, he always infused his unique brand of humor and wit into the most challenging issues. Ed was a frequent lecturer and continued to moderate several continuing legal education courses. He was a mentor to many within the legal profession. A master planner, Ed enjoyed the production of captivating, fascinating, and unusual family vacations. His itinerary always including fun for adults, fun for the children sprinkled with just the right amount of education. Ever the Renaissance man, Edward enjoyed racing sports cars, scuba diving, fine wine, art collecting, genealogy, and American as well as European history. An avid motorcyclist for many years, he travelled throughout the United States (including several solo cross country trips), Canada, and Europe. Often, his beloved wife would accompany him to keep him out of trouble. Edward enjoyed designing eclectic parties including road rallies through the Lehigh Valley, sailboat races on Chesapeake, motorhome trips, Penn State football weekends and numerous impromptu gathering to the delight of friends and family. In the later years Ed (Pop-Pop) has continued delighting his very beloved grandchildren with stories, games and activities. Leaving behind a wealth of friends, associates, and family we shall carry on in the best traditions of Edward Zamborsky; working hard, playing hard and enjoying life to the fullest.

Survivors: Dearly missed and greatly loved by his wife Marykay; son Stephen and wife Marcella, children John and Alexander Zamborsky; daughter Kathryn and husband John Haggerty, children Brady, Callie, Riley, Conner. Sister: Barbara Stone (Ronald); Brothers: Donald (Kathy) and Joseph (Lisa); numerous nephews, nieces and their families. He is predeceased by his brother John.

Services: A memorial service in the sanctuary of The First Presbyterian Church, 3231 West Tilghman St., Allentown will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00AM. Private burial service is at the convenience of the family.
