Mitchell Walter Connor, 93, of Lower Macungie Twp., passed away December 29, 2017 under hospice care at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Loretta “Taffy” (Polscer) Connor for 65 years. Mitchell was the owner of Connor Business Forms until retiring. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Susie (Walter) Connor. He was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1942 and he was voted most intelligent by the school faculty. He was a graduate of Lehigh University class of 1948 with a degree in mathematics and minors in accounting and finance. A U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, he trained and served as a platoon leader in England, France, Germany and Austria in the 285th Engineer Combat Battalion, including the Battle of the Bulge where he received three battle stars for his European duty. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus. Mitchell enjoyed coaching little league baseball, going to Lehigh football games, loved fishing at Gold Key Lake in the Poconos and having a great time with the corner club at the former Anchorage in Emmaus. He and his wife enjoyed traveling extensively over the years both internationally and domestically. He was the cousin of the Honorable Francis E. Walter, who was instrumental in building the Francis E. Walter Dam.

Survivors: Wife, Son: David M. Connor and his wife Cynthia of Coplay, Daughter: Lynne wife of Paul Ormsbee of Salisbury Twp., Grandchildren: David, Patrick, Joshua and Zachary and a Great-Grandson: Noah. He was preceded in death by an Infant Daughter: Lora.

Services: Will be private, at the convenience of the family.
