Arthur Joseph Georgantas

Arthur Joseph Georgantas, 66, of Lower Macungie Township, formerly of Hyannis, MA, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in his home surrounded by the love of family members. He positively influenced every person he came in contact with and always lived an honest and happy life. His family and friends describe him as a hardworking and honest career man, father, grandfather, and husband who helped shape all his children into the people they are today. He was the rock of the Dietz Family Work Crew for 14 years, was deeply devoted to the job and crew, and would do anything for them. Art had a great sense of humor, love of family and friends, compassion, and faith in God. He was a devoted Catholic who belonged to several parish communities over the years, but most recently to St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown. A mentor who has touched many lives, Art was fun-loving and joyful, an inspiration by just being himself. He had an uplifting spirit, was a great friend, and a constant reminder to be kind. He was generous, with concern and care for others, and kindness knew no boundaries with Art. His love for his wife Beulah was limitless. They tackled and came through many trials together. Arthur was a good listener who gave all the free advice needed - even if you didn't ask. Always willing to lend a hand, Art never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. He was a spiritual healer and was knowledgeable in all walks of life. His interests included gardening, reading, and New England sports. He also enjoyed collecting antique bottles and antiques in general. His grandchildren describe him as an awesome person and a cool cat who liked rocks. They also considered him orderly, artistic, creative, and a guy with a green thumb who was always there when you needed him. He wore a memorable collection of colorful and meaningful bracelets. Survivors: Arthur is survived by his devoted wife Beulah (Zarate) Georgantas; his four children, Cynthia Ann Georgantas, Nicholas Joseph Georgantas and his wife Kerry, Kristen Marie Todd and her husband Steven, and Gabrielle Clare Dollak and her husband Christopher. He was Papou to nine grandchildren, Lillian, Sadie-Mae, Ruby, Sophia, Logan, Talon, Nora, Jackson, and Luke. He is also survived by brothers, David Alexander Georgantas and Michael Peter Georgantas, and his four-legged best friend Yacqui the dog. Services: For those of you who knew Art, there will be a Funeral Mass and Celebration of His Life at 11:00AM Friday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, PA. Call 10 to 11:00AM Friday in the church. In the words of Arthur, -ife is just beginning, not ending-. His hope and prayer was that he made an impact on the lives of those whose paths he crossed.
