Nancy Marie Clauser

Just shy of her 79th birthday, on October 5, 2023, our sweet wife and mother was called home. Left on Earth to carry on Nancy’s love is her husband Dale B. Clauser, her daughter Wendy Marie Heintzelman and her husband Dave, her granddaughter Kaida Marie Heintzelman, her sister Bobbetta Edwards and her husband John, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were like her family. Born in Allentown, Nancy was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Dureme M. (Hosier) Kunkel. She graduated from Brandywine Heights High School in Topton in 1962. Nancy was a school aide at Parkland School District until retiring. Prior to that, she was a secretary at Galco, was an executive secretary to the President of Knoll International, was a secretary to the Purchasing Manager at the Lehigh Valley Dairy and was a secretary at Atlas Cement. She was a member of Cedar United Church of Christ. She sang in the choir and was involved with the Senior Living Center Choir, Good Vibrations. Above all, Nancy’s family was her utmost priority. She loved her husband of 50 years, her daughter, granddaughter, and son-in-law more than anything. Her smile and laugh were unmistakable and infectious-a true blessing to all who know her. Nancy enjoyed selling Avon door to door for many years, was involved in all her daughter’s activities, especially Girl Scouts, softball, band, college and beyond. Her love of music and her beautiful soprano voice was passed down to her greatest joy-her granddaughter Kaida. Nancy enjoyed being active, she could often be seen walking in the neighborhood and doing exercise classes. She loved her home, gardening, reading a Daniel Steele book and being around her pool with her family and friends. Nancy enjoyed assisting her husband Dale with many of the Kuhnsville Lions Club’s activities and fund raisers. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Donald Roger and Glenn Kunkel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11 A.M. in the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Sts. Allentown. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the funeral home. If you would like, flowers would be greatly appreciated.
