Willliam Marcus Wieder

William Marcus Wieder, 86, of Allentown, passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2022. He was the loving husband of Josephine Ann (Knaup) Wieder. Bill worked as a switchman for Bell Telephone until retiring. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Marcus Alton Wieder and the late Arida Thelma (Shankweiler) Wieder. He was a graduate of Allentown High School. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. Bill was a 32 Degree Mason, a member of Emmaus Lodge #792 Free and Accepted Masons and was a member of Lehigh Shrine. He served on the Board of Directors for the Allentown Fair. Bill was a PIAA swimming official and a lifeguard at Dorney Park. Survivors: Wife: Josephine Ann Wieder, Sons: Forrest A. Wieder and his wife Terry of Pueblo, CO and Jeffrey T. Kuser at home, Grandson: Kyle Wieder and his wife Jessica, a Great-Grandson: Owen and his companion: Cody. A celebration of Bill’s life will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 3551 N. Broad Street Philadelphia, PA 19140
