Howard A. Young

Howard A. Young 47, of South Whitehall Township, died June 28, 2021. He was the husband of Maria I. Uribe. Howard was a Physician Assistant at Sachdev Orthopedics in Easton. Prior to beginning his medical career, Howard worked for several years in missions work among the street children of Peru. He also worked with street children in India and Nepal as well. He left his heart in India. Out of this experience grew the realization that there was a great need for medical services in under-served areas, and he returned to the United States to pursue a degree as a Physician Assistant. Howard received his Masters of Clinical Medical Sciences, Physician Assistant Studies, from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida in December of 2004. He worked for several years in a primary care setting in Florida prior to joining Dr. Sachdev in Kansas where he worked at Central Kansas Medical Center. Born in Medellin, Colombia, he was the son of Mildred (McCary) Young of Quincy, Indiana and the late Vernon Young. El Muno will be missed by his wife, family, friends, his fur buddy Gabo, his Jeep, Cuna de Howie and all the Café Gabo drinkers. Survivors: Wife: Maria I. Uribe, Mother: Mildred Young of Quincy, Indiana, Sisters: Joyce wife of Aldo Reusche of Winter Park, Florida and Colleen wife of Graham Higgs of Quincy, Indiana, Nieces: Catalina Reusche, Monica Reusche, Sofia Reusche, Caitlyn Higgs, Abi Higgs and Meghan Higgs, Nephews: Spencer Higgs and his wife Olivia, Jamin Higgs and Lucas Higgs and a Great-Nephew: Jamison Higgs. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 5, 2021 at 11 A.M. in the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home 16th and Hamilton Sts. Allentown. Calling hours will be held on Monday, from 10:00 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the funeral home. The service will be livestreamed and will begin at 11 A.M. Masks will be required upon entering the funeral home.
