Jerry Martin Collarini

Jerry Martin Collarini, 77, of Salisbury Twp., passed away on April 19, 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Margaret Munn (Steelman) Collarini. Jerry was an income maintenance case worker for the Commonwealth of PA, Department of Human Services, retiring in 2016. Prior to that, he had a 30-year career starting at Western Electric and retiring from Agere Systems where he held various assignments in engineering, marketing, customer support and product planning. He received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City and his MBA from Lehigh University, Bethlehem. Born in Hancock, NY, he was the son of the late G. Robert and Lillian R. (Esolen) Collarini. Jerry was a faithful member and Sacristan at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown. He was an avid pickleball player and gun enthusiast. As a member of the Ridge & Valley Rod & Gun Club, he would participate in the monthly cleanup, shoot his favorite weapons, and enjoy partaking in club events. Suarez of Frederick, MD, Brother: Robert F. Collarini of Hancock, NY, Sister-In-Law: Nell V. Whitlock wife of James S. Whitlock, Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Brothers-In-Law: Herbert S. Steelman, III and his wife Gail of St. Augustine, FL and Charles M. Steelman and his wife Jeannie of Lindale, GA, Grandchildren: V.A. (Alex) Suarez of Fairbanks, AK, Jack M. Kindt of Tucson, AZ, Cadet Jayden M. Suarez of Frederick, MD, Tyler F. Hume of Tucson, AZ, and Ryan N. Hume of Tucson, AZ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 1040 Flexer Ave. Allentown. A calling hour will be held on Friday, from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in the Church.
